This book effectively portrays the primary concepts (outside of math and writing) that children are learning at charter schools using the core knowledge system. My son loves the history lessons and stories. Highly recommend this book for parents with kids in both public and charter school.

Has most of the things my kid's school has in grade 1.
We have been using it for few months now.

They could have arranged the chapters in better way, but that simply is my perception.
I am overall happy with the book.

This is a good book for child. My daughter likes to read it every day.

A very useful series to help parents or grandparents to teach the kids.
(1) Offer knowledge from easy to difficult, from simple to complex, from brief to detail contents. The well organization help the parents or grandparents to easily follow;
(2) A part of articles can be read by parents of grandparents, the other can be read by kids;
(3) The selected topics are interesting to kids;
(4) This series can not be used instead of school texts, rather, it is a supplement for schooltexts.
