My Happy Review =)

January 30, 20105.0
I've been taking notes on this book, and you only take notes on the important things. I've been taking notes on almost EVERYTHING. This is probably one of the best sources to learn AP Bio from. It's full of stuff that you will NEED to know and it doesn't skimp on the details. It is also a quick way to learn and is very interesting. I highly recommend this book.

Great!

This book covered all the topics that were on the AP test, without it I would have been lost as to what to focus on and what to discard. Of course, I had to study my school textbook for the finer details but as review books go this one is the best. It definitely helped me get a 5 last year.

The structures shown in figure 2-5 and 2-6 have errors in them. The fatty acid portion of the structure is wrong. There should not be a carbon atom between the oxygen atom and the carbonyl group. Compare that to structure D on page 27, which is correct.

I have not reviewed the entire book. If you'd like a comprehensive editing/review, my friends and I have hundreds of years experience in chemistry and biochemistry (Ag science R&D) and are all currently unemployed. We enjoy working as a team. Since our lay-off, several of us have tutored or taught chemistry lab classes at the college level.

An excellent review book.

This book is an excellent way to study for the AP exam. It has short, but thorough explanations. It also has quizzes at the end of each section with multiple choice questions and free response questions, and there are detailed explanations too.
However, this book has some flaws. Some of explanations are confusing and there are spots where diagrams are either lacking or are hard to read. The chapter with the five kingdoms goes into far too much detail, on the AP exam there were barely any multiple choice questions on it and there was only half a free response on it.
Overall, this books positive points are far more numerous then its negative ones. This is probably the best review book for AP Bio and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a 4 or 5.

I had such a good teacher that I didn't actually need this. I went through it once, but it didn't really tell me anything helpful
