Focus on Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education Add comments

Early Childhood are the most vulnerable stages in a persons life, it spans the human life from birth to age eight.

Early Childhood Education refers as the education of children from preschool through grade three. It often focuses on children learning through play. Young children, such as infants and toddlers experience life more holistically than any other age group. They do not learn cognitive, social, emotional, and physical lessons separately. The term, “early childhood education,” is often used to describe preschool or baby/child care programs.

A growing body of research demonstrates that high-quality early childhood education plays the critical role in students’ success, not only in the elementary grades but also throughout their whole lives. Researchers and educators in early childhood education both view the parents and/or families as an integral part of the early childhood education process. What are the educators and parents believe really do matter on early childhood education.

Because young children are in the fastest growing stages, they need receive sufficient nutrition for their brain and other physical development, they need parental/caregiver interaction, and stimulus during this crucial period, they need attention and affection from their caregivers to develop in a healthy manner. Otherwise, the child may be left with a developmental deficit that hampers his or her success in preschool, kindergarten, and beyond.

Parents, educators, researchers, and policymakers are all becoming increasingly aware of the role that high-quality early childhood education plays in the success of students not only in the elementary grades, but throughout their lives. What are the effective ways of early childhood education? How parents can choose a high-quality preschool and kindergarten for their child? How parents can help on educating their young children?

In the following several posts, we would like to discuss these topics. In order to help children build a solid foundation towards their future success, as parents, let’s learn and improve our parenting knowledge and skills on early childhood education together.

    3-4岁的孩子大脑发育渐完善,已经具备了一定的独立生活能力,如自己穿衣,自己吃饭,自己睡觉等。提前培养这些能力无论对孩子自身的成长或对加家长的学习和工作都有益。

The basic functions of 3-4 year-old children’s brain have been almost developed, therefore, they have a certain ability to live independently, such as dressing themselves, eating food by themselves, go to bed and sleep by their own. Cultivating these capabilities of children is good both for the children and their parents, which develop children’s independent capability in the meantime free parents from child care and they can contribute more to their study and work.

    既要尊重孩子的个性发展,又要控制孩子的无理取闹。

We should not only respect the child’s personality development, but also need to control his or her vexatious behavior.

    “孩子们以自己的兴趣,按自己的速度发展自己的能力”。
    是这样的,幼儿的兴趣是多变的,寓教于乐是最好的教育,否则会欲速则不达的.

“Children develop in their own interest, at their own pace.”
Yes, children’s interest vary all the time, the best education is to let children have fun, otherwise no good education outcome.
