Kids Are Our Future

By educational research and my personal experience, kids who are not doing very well on their school are usually due to lack of effort rather than low ability. How to help our kids set up goals to achieve success? How to inspire them to desire to learn and love to learn? I think to find the answers of these questions are what most parents want.

The intentions, desires, goals, and needs determine human behavior.

By education research, motivation and emotion are closely related. Some researchers argued that emotions are the true motivators, which drive other factors internally and cognitively take hold of behavior. People are willing to do things when they feel pleasure. That is why we need to find the kids’ interest and have to guide our kids to love to learn, which the most important thing is. In addition, the culture in which an individual is raised has a powerful effect on how the individual behaves. In another word, parents should create love-to-learn family culture, to set up a good role model for our kids.

I believe that not all kids will be “A” students, but they should try their best, while most of them do not. I think that the major cause is that we, the parents did not do a good job on motivating our kids correctly, efficiently.
Ambition, confidence, patience and persistence are four key factors to success. Motivate our kids to be ambitious, desiring success to contribute more to the global society; to be confident, having a firm belief in his/her own power by continuous learning and practicing, to become stronger to overcome obstacles; to be patient, being capable of calmly awaiting an outcome while not hasty, since everything needs time to proceed; to be persistent, never give up, insistently continuous to succeed.
