At my 3-year-old daughter’s preschool, I saw a 4-year-old boy read a story book without picture at all, I was amazed. When does a child learn to read? How parents can help?

Children’s ability to read differs but most of them start learning at infancy. For my kids my elder boy started reading independently from 2yrs old and now at 5yr old are reading Grade 1-2 readers (without pictures)
Younger boy (2yr old) is reading simple sentances book. Parents can help through a variety of ways- through reading aloud etc. Have posted several articles on my own parenting site.
