My son is in high, I think he should be busy in his course work and SAT tests. Last night, I saw he had spent several hours just surfing the internet, and then I reminded him, “Should you study your course work now?” He answered me, “I do not feel like study”. I was speechless. What should I do in that situation? Any suggestion? Did you have similar experience with me? Can you share your experience?

One child said: “because my mother treats me like a robot, I must do what she designed for me, I really can not stand it!
It seems parents are really trying hard and being very thoughtful for their child, however, the child’s cognitive ability and capability are really limited.
Nowadays, children have strong self-esteem, and strong personality, which require good parenting combining scientific education and democracy. Parents need love and patience!!!
If your child does not have a good grade, you should encourage him and help him to find the cause and try to catch up. Parents should not push your child too much and let your child feel stressful.
To love and help your child, and motivate your child self study.
I ask them to do their work the best they can but, sometime the teenager don’t alway comply. I tell them to do it now and not worry about it later.

This must have some reasons; you’d better to find out the causes. Is it because your child can not find what he likes to learn? Is it because he can not use his brain efficiently? Is it because parents push him too hard and impeded his interest in learning?
In order to love learning, one needs to be able to learn effectively. Help your child improve his self-confidence by becoming your child’s friend, supporting him when he becomes frustrated when facing failure, talk to your child often and communicate well.
