Review on Prep Books for SAT II: Japanese

How to Prepare for SAT II: Japanese

I think a great test prep book should help students get familiar with what types of the test problems could be and the contents the test focuses on.

This book does a good job on helping students preparing on the format of the test, however, in terms of test contents, this book needs to be improved. It is reported by some students that the real test problems are much more challenging than the practice tests in this book. For example, in the reading comprehensions, this book provides short passages which have kanji with the easier hiragana on top; on the real SAT II: Japanese, however there is a lot of kanji and NO hiragana is provided.

However, this is the only book available in the market so far for SAT II: Japanese preparation. In order to achieve a better score, we recommend students to use this book get familiar with the test format.
