Zinc is also one of the essential minerals necessary for sustaining life. But too much of it may cause zinc poisoning. Zinc powder is also used in fuel for rocket ships. The current main producer of zinc is China, owning about 40% of the world’s total production. Receiving the appropriate amount of zinc can help strengthen the human immune system.

Zinc is found in oysters, and to a far lesser degree in most animal proteins, beans, nuts, almonds, whole grains, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.A turkey’s neck and beef’s chuck or shank also contain significant amounts of zinc.
